After shedding more than 80 pounds, actress Jennifer Hudson says that she is done with trying to lose more.
Since she teamed up with Weight Watchers back in 2010, the Academy Award winner has entirely transformed into a new woman right before our eyes.
Over the course of two years, the “Dreamgirls” star has gone from a size 16 to a size six. Ten sizes down and the Dreamgirl says she is at her happy place, and she wants to keep it this way.
In the 2012 December issue of Redbook magazine, 31-year-old Hudson said in an interview, “I’m at the weight I want to be.”
“But I hear all the time, “Don’t lose any more weight, you need to stop.” People are under the impression that I’m still losing but I’m not,” she added.
On the cover of the issue, Hudson is wearing a long-sleeved white and silver mini dress with a flirty but fun hemline, paired with sparkly peep toe heels and emerald green drop earrings.
The singer/actress said in the interview that often times, she forgets that the body she is rockin’ with now is half the woman she used to be.
“I’m getting used to my new self more than anything else,” Hudson tells the magazine.
“I got used to being plus-sized and knowing how to be that, whereas this is like, “Okay, who am I?” I keep thinking that I probably need an extra-large or a large and the stylist is like, “No, you need a medium or a small.”
She also discussed her new plans as a fashion designer. Hudson recently teamed with QVC to start her own line.
‘I know what I like, and that’s what it’s all about.
‘It’s like, who’s your fashion icon? Me. And no one but you knows what you feel most comfortable in. I look at each piece and think, “Could I wear that as big Jennifer or could I wear that now?” I want to consider every girl.’
